Know it’s not sustainable to keep waiting for a job to come and save us

But we want to build a free flowing artistic career

So in order to do that

We have 3 core problems to solve

One of them is:

Scarcity

Scarcity of opportunities

And scarcity of the exchange of value in contributing your art to the tribe

In other words:

Wealth

We want the opposite of scarcity here - which is abundance

Abundance of opportunities & wealth

Three things we can do to help us move from scarcity to abundance

ONE.

Stop being invisible to casting directors

Instead

Start building healthy relationships with casting directors.

Apply pareto principle to find out who are the 20% that are casting the majority of work you want to do.

Then DON’T go be selfish by trying to please them.

They are humans who have put themselves in a vulnerably artistic position as well, so respectively start dating them

By that I mean start showing up as yourself.

Trying to please 16 casting directors will get you nowhere

Showing up as yourself and finding a healthy match with one of them is a far wiser investment

TWO.

Stop being lonely

Instead

Start finding the people your body likes hanging out with.

One healthy relationship a year is far more powerful than slimy networking to hundreds.

THREE.

Stop returning to zero every time you finish a job

Instead

Start compounding your work via the people involved in that work

(There is a reason why compound interest is known as the 8th wonder of the world)

Side note - notice how all these three points involve human relationships?

Opportunities and wealth are a byproduct of people helping each other

So

Slowly and gently

Find your people & watch abundance grow
